Bridal Veil Falls

 Kia ora!

Brad finished up work a few hours early and we decided to go do something! We got onto Google Maps and saw that Bridal Veil Falls wasn't too far a drive from us, not quite an hour, so we loaded up the van and headed out. I'm so glad we did, it was a super easy "hike" (more of a walk) to get to the falls and it was beautiful. There were many steps to get to the bottom of the falls and unfortunately about 1/5 of the way down a tree had fallen across the paths, so that was as far as we could go. But, we still quite enjoyed the view from a little ways down.

Daniel and Autumn doing a little exploring.

Long shutter (or something like that) shot.

Regular shot. This was as close to the bottom of the falls as we could get, due to that tree blocking the stairs.

The ferns are so big.

The view from the top of the falls. I held onto my phone super tight and I think the kids were all relieved that I didn't drop it!

Looking out from the falls, so much green!

On the short hike to the falls.

A pretty stream we walked along for a little bit.

James looks a little unsure of things here, but he enjoyed the day, I promise.

Even the drive there was quite lovely, though also quite windy, ugh.

With love from New Zealand,
Lyndsay
